Installation Description

• In 2005, IRC upgraded the Daktronics voting system.  In addition to interfacing with the existing displays and member voting stations, IRC replaced the control hardware located at the Clerk's and Speaker's podiums with the IRC voting software.

• The Clerk's position has two touchscreen montors.

• The monitor to the left is the Main Control for the voting system software.

•  The monitor to the right  allows the Assistant Clerk to enter information and control session and also serves as a backup to the Clerk's monitor should it fail.

• The Speaker's positon was also replaced with two large monitors and is running the IRC Presiding Officer and Request to Speak software applications.
  

• The monitors were set up to share the geographical layout of the chamber and shows:.
  

• Members who are requesting to speak.
  
• Member's activated microphone.
• Information displayed on the available boards.
• Members'votes.
• Vote totals.

• The Sound Operator uses a touchscreen monitor which controls the IRC Sound Control software. The Sound Operator can also see the members who have requested to speak. Upon recoginition from the Speaker, the Sound Operator can activate a member's micophone by clicking on the member's name.
