Amend / Enroll
The Amend/Enroll module is used to create new versions of
the document. After the document is
received, it is introduced. During this process, special Legislative
requirements can be satisfied, such as the placement of the State seal or the
use of sidebars. In addition, the prescribed fonts and styles are applied. Subsequently, amendments can be engrossed to
create new versions of the Bill/Resolutions.
Each chamber can maintain any number of draft versions of a
Bill/Resolution, and while all other versions of the Bill/Resolution can be
viewed by the other chamber, the draft versions can only be viewed by the
originating body. Conference reports can
be brought into xmLegislator and formatted. Resolutions can be formatted into "pretty"
copies and Bill/Resolutions can be enrolled into their final format. This
module is used to pass control of a Bill/Resolution from one chamber to the
other.
