Bill / Resolution Maintenance
The Bill/Resolution Maintenance module is the starting point
in xmLegislator for an introduced document.
In this module, a drafted document and title(s) can import into
xmLegislator from other agencies. Links
can be established with the external entity for the transference of
information. Sponsors and co-sponsors can be assigned to the document, and they
can be re-ordered as often as desired.
Several different title types and versions of each type can be
maintained for a document. Links can be
created between documents and subjects can be assigned to a document. It is in the Bill/Resolution Maintenance
module that status is maintained for a document. The order that status occurs
is important and this module provides for the re-ordering of document status as
needed. One chamber can view, but not alter, the status of the document in the
other chamber. A resolution matrix
allows for the quick and easy assignment of floor co-sponsors to a resolution
and for the creation of a resolution Calendar.
